SURVEYS FOR INSURANCE

£8.00 per foot length of craft. (Minimum £200)

Our reports are accepted by all the major marine insurance companies when assessing if a boat presents a reasonable insurable risk. If you are commissioning a pre-purchase survey, there is no need for this type of survey.

COMPREHENSIVE PRE-PURCHASE SURVEYS

£12.00 per foot length of craft.

Normally this includes inspections both in and out of the water (lifts paid for by the buyer) and where possible includes a river/sea trial (accompanied by the owner or broker).

· Typically there is an extensive examination of all areas of the craft.

· We will give you a verbal report of findings at the end of the day.

· We will aim to produce the survey report quickly, normally within 1– 3 working days of the boat examination.

· We pride ourselves on finding faults, not just producing verbose and lengthy reports filled with unnecessary information.

· All equipment aboard will be tested where possible.

· Our reports save people thousands of pounds and give our clients negotiating power. The reports generally pay for themselves by defects found translating into a reduction in price.

· Hull condition includes readings taken with appropriate equipment.

· We will include a non-invasive report on the engine(s)

· We adhere to the International Institute of Marine Surveyors Code of Practice.

· We will in short do our very best for YOU.

VALUATIONS

These may be needed for insurance, mortgage or probate reasons. If you are having a pre-purchase survey or an insurance survey, a valuation can be requested at no extra cost.

CE MARKING

We can CE mark American Sports Boats e.g. Bayliners, Chapparal, Searays etc. We do this through our association with CE Proof.

If an ASB was privately imported from the USA to the EU after 16th June 1998 and does not have a CE Mark it is illegal and cannot be sold. We can help remedy this by assessing the boat and CE Marking it for  you.
